King Country Boxing Club was formed in 2005 by founder and coach Glenn Brightwell.
The Club’s gym is located on State Highway 31, 8 km north-west of Otorohanga township. The Club boasts a fully equipped boxing gym with a full size boxing ring for sparring as well as a very challenging cross country assault course which provides multiple training tasks.
It is currently the sole surviving boxing club in the King Country with the aim to be successful in growing the sport of boxing.
Being located in a rural area club members come from differing backgrounds and interests and support and encourage each other to achieve their boxing goals and ambitions.
King Country Boxing Club has had success at National, Golden Gloves and Regional level.
We encourage male and female alike to participate in the sport and to realise the skill, safety and friendship that comes with the sport of boxing.
